P.J.A.: - What inspired you to start acting?
Darasimi:- I wasn’t really inspired or I looked at someone and I made up my mind to start acting. All I can saw was a black magic camera on my mom’s production and I said “I should be a star” in any way, it doesn’t have to be acting I just was saying I will be famous through a camera” .
P.J.A: - You said you saw a black magic camera on your mum’s production. Is your mum a film maker?
Darasimi: My mum used to work in a bank some years ago but she started producing around 2017 and she paused for a while when my career was just starting to focus on me. She has started producing again and now we are here.
P.J.A:- What was your first movie experience like?
Darasimi:- It was rubbish, it was titled "unforgotten "by Victor Okpala
(cutin)
P.J.A Why do you say it was rubbish?
Darasimi:- My acting was rubbish because I wasn’t doing well, it was my first. I didn’t really do well but what I will say I did well was mastering my lines, though not much but I got all my line right I'm indifferent about the whole experience because at the time my mum wasn’t too supportive, so I was thinking, it’s not something I will do for a long time.
P.J.A.:- Why wasn’t she supportive at that time?
Darasimi:- She didn’t want to have the controversy whereby the producer’s children were always and likely to be an actor.
P.J.A:- Can you tell us your favorite roles, you’ve played so far?
Darasimi:- I can pin point I enjoyed playing all roles.

P.J.A.:_ How do you balance acting and schooling at the same time?
Darasimi:- I have lesson teachers and I do online classes.
P.J.A:- Do your classmates miss you when you are not around
Darasimi:- My friends miss me and some of my classmate too. I have too friends, they gist me about everything I missed.
P.J.A:- What are some of the challenges you faced from being a kid actor to now a teenage actor?
Darasimi:- (Smiles) I don’t think people are seeing me as a teen actor yet, people haven’t identify I have crossed child actor to a teenage actor. I’m thirteen already, will be 14 this year maybe when I’m 15 they will know, even 21 year old in this industry that look young are still categorized as teenage actor. That is what Nollywood does.
P.J.A:- Tell us Nollywood actors that inspire you?
Darasimi:- Nobody inspires me just that I like a particular person “Nse Epe Etim” I have a different view about inspiration. She is a fantastic actor. I like her.
P.J.A:- How do you prepare for your roles and what the process of getting into character?
Darasimi: Not really tasking, just to be mentally prepare for that character, meet the director to tell you what he/she want, I walk together with director to bring the character to life.
P.J.A:- Can you share with us your most memorable moment on set and what made it so special.
Darasimi:- (Smiles) it was on "Oba ran" set I think we had a break and we went back to the hotel. We played songs and we were vibing I really enjoyed that .
I remember another time after shoot, I was so exhausted then the assistant director played an animation and she said we will watch togethe. My mummy wasn’t onset that time, Miss Seyifunmi took good care of me. It was the most fun night on that set.
P.J.A:- Let’s talk about your mum, does she take you to set everytime?
Darasimi:- No, Miss Onose used to take to set. Oh! How I miss Onose. We love you Miss Onose......but now it’s Miss Peace. My mum comes with me Day 1 on set just to see things and to make sure I’m settled. I call my mum like 15 times in a day if I have issues or I miss her. When I call her two or three time, she knows I’m enjoying myself on set.
P.J.A:- You are on set of your new movie (Dark Heart) coming to youtube soon. Tell us about this project?

Darasimi:- We are still filming, as you can see, we use to do a series called “Mad House on youtube and it was doing very well so we are doing this too for youtube. It’s a beautiful story. You all will love it when it’s out .
P.J.A:- What can you say about your fans?
Darasimi:- (smiles)) they are my Divas.
I love them so much, they are so supportive even on my Tiktok live, I remember a time I was appreciating my fans on Tiktok live when I got my award and someone just type “who be this one” the way my divas rushed the person. I love my divas.
On my 16th birthday I know I’m going to celebrate my divas
P.J.A:- If you could play any superhero or cartoon character, who will it be and why?
Darasimi:- It will be Chloe in thunder man,
P.J.A:- Which kid actor do you look up to who is an established actor now?
Darasimi:- Jasmine Miller, and Angel Unigwe they the top .Angel is so beautiful
I remember growing up I use to stay off internet a lot. I don’t get to see a lot of people. I don’t have a phone then.
P.J.A:- Do you have a phone now?
Darasimi:- (Burst into laugher) You people should pray for me o that mum will not change her mind, that she will buy me phone next year as promised. My mum post on my social media, I really don’t have access to phone.
P.J.A:- Do you think not having a phone is a plus or minus.
Darasimi:- It’s actually a plus because the distraction using a phone is much. I use a laptop most for my assignment time I spend my time on Pinterest, get bible quotes and chat on Chat GPT I love researching more about skincare. I saw a kid actor using an iPhone, 7 and I was shocked! because what do you need an iPhone 7 for at your age and since then my mindset changed about having a phone. I really done need a phone now, the distraction is too much.

P.J.A:- What should we expect from Darasimi Nasdi in 2025?
Darasimi:- More movies and more content for divas and I mean all my fans.
P.J.A:- What do want to say to some children who are looking up to you, who hope to act one day?
Darasimi:- Do you to act to be famous and be popular but the point is can you last?
I remember some year ago, I came back from a job and two,
three month after, no job. I was crying.
If you can act, fine but do you have the emotional intelligence it takes to be an actor. It can be tough sometimes trust me. Do you have the patience and time? If you are like “I cannot miss school then you are not ready, because you're going to miss school !
P.J.A:- What are you looking up to being an adult?
Darasimi:- I want to a very successful and happy woman living with my mom. I want to grow up to be a woman who know God for herself. Own my own company I want have an NGO people won’t know I own it.
I want to be very discreet that the only thing you will know about me is that I’m an actor. But I will be rich and you will be like where does she get her money from. Even when I’m in school I don’t take about acting.
I don’t tell people about my school.
P.J.A:- So regardless of the stardom, you have been keeping your private life private.
Darasimi: Absolutely
P.J.A:- As you grow older, do you think you might explore and do other things a side acting?

Darasimi:- When you are not patient as an actor, acting leaves you. I might though but I won’t quit acting. I love to fly a plane but don’t want to be a pilot
I want to spend a day at architectural sight, maybe be a brick layer for a day.( Smiles)
I want to know how to drive as well, when I’m 18yrs
I want to learn how to farm too.
P.J.A:- Do you speak Yourba fluently?
Darasimi: (Smiles) Not so much though
P.J.A:- You talked about know God for yourself the other time, how spiritual are you?
Darasimi: Growing up I think my mum’s prayer will cover me but at time I feel out of place. I feel the spiritual controls the physical so I need to be empowered myself. I’m more excited about going to church now. I’m learning to know more of God. Now I don’t like shooting on Sunday because I don’t want to miss church, I’m still waiting for when I will speak in tongues. I’m learning to read more bible especially KJV
I just love and want to know Jesus more.
P.J.A:- Would you study theatre art or what do you like to study at the uni?

Darasimi:- I will like to go to a public University it’s been private primary & secondary school, I feel there is something fun about public University. I like Unilag I feel …… amazing actors are from there or better still attend an acting school and do other course in uni.
P.J.A:- Thanks for your time and have a wonderful time on set. Well done superstar.
